Your EDC Kit

Another basic prepper item that everyone should have is an EDC (every day carry) kit.  An EDC kit will be unique to each person as it covers everything a person would need to carry with them to see them through the course of the day.  A businessman would have one kind of kit, a utility worker another, and a student, yet another.  This simple kit has spawned quite an online presence--from websites and articles to blogs and subreddits--but the bottom line is to put together a kit that works for you.  Here are some items to consider for your EDC kit:
  • A bag (briefcase, daypack, messenger bag, fanny pack, etc)
  • Watch
  • Cell phone/charging cable
  • Bottle of water
  • Insulated stainless steel bottle (for hot drinks)
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Lip balm
  • Packet of Kleenex
  • Pen/pencil
  • Journal/paper
  • Ear buds
  • Backup battery charger
  • Tiny AM/FM radio
